NWR: Teachers!

I JUST CANT WIN!!!

i have parents complaining that i give too much homework

parents complaining that i dont give enough homework

and a parent that wants me to individually grade each homework math problem for each of my 30 kids, and to correct it for them.

SHES OUT OF HER EVER LOVIN BIRD!!!!!

I've come to realize that EVERYONE is always complaining to you about something!!! If it's not the parents, then its the administration telling you to do this and do that.... it's only October and I feel like its already JUNE with all the stress!!!!!

You can never please everyone. Ive learned that. Two years ago I was Brooklyn's teacher of the year and I still had parents claiming i was the worst teacher on the face of the earth (Mind you because I don't give word boxes in 4th grade?)

Parents will be parents..

you will never be able to make everyone happy ... its just not possible. do you thing ... you are great at what you do ... dont let those parents change who you are and what you do!

Parent's will be parents is right !!!!!! I am a mother of 4 kids.... 3rd, 4th, 6th & 7th grades.... so I have a lot of experience with teachers... and yes here and there I complain to FH about the homework.. but that is about it ...
Don't even let them bother you!!!!!!!! Tell them to come and teach the 30 kids each day .. Being a teacher is NOT easy!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't' worry about the parents Marissa. How do the kids feel about you? They're the true test to how good of a teacher you are!

you just need to tell them that this is your policy. I mean you cant please everyone. I have had to tell parents that when they dont agree with the consequences I give the students. Oh well I say. Parents can be a pain!!

Truth of the matter....some parents just don't understand the amount of work it is to do something like this, AND that it's not that effective. You can utilize that time towards your lesson planning, that will be more effective than checking every hw prob! haha, some requests from parents are kinda funny when you think about it...don't sweat it. You know how to do your job.....

I realize you are NEVER going to please every parent, you can only do what you can and hope you're getting through to the kids, that's the most important thing. Everything will balance out, you just have to do what you can, unfortunately, parents are more difficult to control than kids!!!!!!
