Teachers - I'm relocating upstate and need to look for a teaching job up there. When' s the best time to submit resumes? Did you apply online or mail them directly to the schools?

try to look into asap, usually opening start being posted byt the end of March. Look into this website:
I've used OLAS before, and I haven't been too pleased with it. I would look at what is posted, and then check the website of the school. If it says no paper resumes, then just apply through OLAS. If it doesn't say that, I'd send a paper copy too! Good luck!!!

I'd say you can start applying as soon as you see a job posted. I wouldn't say that you should mail resumes since some places do not accept paper copies.

i havent had too much success with olas either...but i still do it. where upstate are you moving?

I'm moving to Rochester so I'm hoping there is an actual need for teachers, unlike LI where its so difficult to find a teaching job.
I'm going to start posting my resume this month but I'm guessing interviews might not happen until August.
