I'm taking the LAST in about two weeks, but I don't know where to find information about how the test is and how to prepare for it. I need some help!

And can you still became a certified teacher even after you were a certified teachers assistant?
thanks!!
Good Luckk on the LAST!
i took the LAST the ATSW and the CST in Multi subject and in Special Ed. They were all fine. the CST's i think were more challenging though. I didnt prepare for any, i didnt see how i could.
you will do fine
Also... there is no harm in taking the LAST earlier. Get it out of the way.
Anyway.. there shouldnt be any problem getting certified as a teacher because you already got certfied as a TA.
I think the CST was the most difficult of the three also (I took the multi-subject CST too)

Re: NWR: Teachers, how did you prepare for the LAST
I used a test prep book that I bought at Borders for the ATS-W and LAST. I also found some older books for the same tests at my local library. Even though the format of the tests was slightly different, the questions were very similar. But honestly, you probably don't need to worry too much about either test. The LAST is almost like a reading comprehension test. Usually a question will give you some info, and you have to use the info that was given to answer the question. Oh, I think you can find practice tests online too.
