NWR- Teachers, I need ur suggestions

k..I've been at my school for 4 yrs (its inner-city in fl) as such, I have the option of leaving and going to any school that I want that has a vacancy in my district, but I have to leave this year.

I love my kids and the families I work with, I HATE my nonproductive, selfish, brownnosing administration. But down here, they change principals all the time. I think they'll keep her there for another year or so, but...I hate the way she runs, errrr doesnt run the school.

Here's my question....

Do I

A - leave my school and transfer to a brand new school that will have all new faculty this year and is closer to my house - but I'm not guaranteed my grade level preference

or

B- stick it out at my school and wait for them to hire a new principal, since she is my 3rd principal in 4 yrs?

I've never thought I would really leave until this year, but the thought of being driven out by awitch bothers me.

any help out there??? thanks

I would make sure you have the other job before leaving. Also consider all the new people you have to work with. Things may not go as planned.

hmm, i don't know if you love the kids and families you work with, i might stay. principals come and go, and sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. you might get to the new school and find the administration to be similar to the administration in your current building. good luck!

Re: NWR- Teachers, I need ur suggestions

I just got a call from my sub (she's a sub for my coteacher) and she told me that my principal stormed into the room, arms folded and said 'wheres ms......?' My sub said, 'I don't know' to which the principal said, well she better get everything done today b/c I know she'll be here tomorrow to do what I told her to do.'

that b!tch is crazy....yesterday, she told me that she was going to have teachers come to my room from other schools to observe my centers - I reminded her that im getting married on saturday and she said, yeah i know - saturday is not thursday....b!tch knows i live in fl and am getting married in ny. anyway i tried to tell her in a not so obvious way that i wouldnt be here, but she wasnt taking that answer.

I told her that my flight leaves at 5:00 and i need to pick up my stepson, that crazy......whatever.... said that shed pick him up for me....WHAT?!?!?!

anyway I knew she was gonna be mad, but this is crazy. She told me I cant use all of my days for the wedding b/c im not sick so I could only use the personal days- which means my honeymoon days. I've never had a principal tell me how to use MY days. so now i know there'll be hell to pay when i return...i guess part of my decision has been made

She is a powertripping B!tch......ugh...thanks for the support ladies
