NWR: Teachers please help

I have an interview on Tuesday for a Secondary English teacher position.

They want me to come in and give them a writing sample.

Have any of you been through this and/or do you have any ideas on what the topic may be.

Its usually nothing and its usually a very easy question. They just want to see that you can write. Dont stress and Good Luck!

If I remember correctly, my writing samples were about either lessons I wouldteach, my teaching philosophy, those types of things.

One I actually enjoyed was when they gave me a poem and asked me to create a lesson for an 11th grade class based on the poem. Instead of just writing an essay, I was able to show them my creativity. Some people thought it was annoying - but I enjoyed it (English nerd, I guess )
