What exactly is service learning? and did service learning give you greater insight into your prospective career?

Clearly they've changed the requirements since I've been certified!! not sure what you're talking about 'service learning'
I do know you have to complete 175 hours but i think that can encompass professional development your district provides and credits post bachelo'rs and masters.... perhaps the newer teachers can help you here...

I dont eventhink the state knows what they will allow yet to meet the 175 hour requirement. ut i know i was told that I wont have to worry about that until I am ready to apply for my professional licence. I am going to hold ot on it so I dont have tos tart working ont he ours just yet.
My luck I fell under the old rule and the new. i still have to do my video (from my ele ed cert) and the 175 hours for my special ed cert. Yahfor me!
