NWR: Teaching fellows?

anyone here do/did the NYC teaching fellows program? if you did....what colleges did they have affiliations with for the Mater's degree? And how was the program in general?
Im thinking about applying for it for June 08.

they want a 3.0 and i left with a 2.8 ....lol close enough but no cigar...so im going to try to apply anyway and see what happens..

I think that they are affiliated with CUNY colleges. I got my Master's at Brooklyn College and my ed. classes were filled with fellows. I have been teaching for 8 years and I have seen a really large influx of fellows over the years. They are all really smart.

thanks! if its CUNY colleges then i dont have a problem because ive only gone to CUNY....im just hoping its not colleges in like westchester co. or LI

i think you should still apply because they look at things other than the GPA and one school told me they take the GPA of the last 60 credits and call that the re-calculated GPA

I know for sure Queens College and St Johns are affliated with TF - I know there are more but not sure which ones. One thing you should know is that you DO NOT get to choose the college you go to - it depends which subject you're going for and they place you. Good luck!
