NWR: teeth whitening

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has had their teeth whitened professionally at the dentists. Any weird side effects??

Before you spend the money, did you try crest white strips? When I did them, the hygenist thought that I went to another dentist and got them professionally whitened! For a year after, so many people complimented me on my teeth! I am def. going to do it again before my wedding! If you haven't tried them yet, def. do that first! FH does whitening through the dentist and it hurts his teeth for days after. But they are white. ??

i do the night whitening that my dentist gave me... amazing results after only a day or two!! i was very pleased BUT i put it on my teeth every OTHER night and only for about 45 minutes to an hour (i don't sleep with it on all night) b/c it makes your teeth very sensitive the next day-- the longer you wear them, the more sensitive they are. also, if you do them every single day the sensitivity gets more and more. but, if you do like i do (every other day) then the sensitivity is hardly anything! i also use sensodyne toothpaste and ACT mouthwash (which is much easier on your teeth) while doing the whitening.

i'm in the middle of the process now. it's 'night white'-- a little kit i got from my dentist. i don't know how much it normally costs seperately (i think he mentioned around a 300 dollar value) but he included it in the price of my invisalign. he is a great dentist and very reasonable. i highly recommend him. i did a lot of shopping around before getting my invisalign...

Dr. Pierre (something really long that starts with a K)... lol everyone just calls him 'Dr. K'. He is in Stony Brook and his number is 631-689-8570. Good luck, HTH!!

My fiance did crest white strips and you can really notice the difference! I was supposed to do them, but after I started I got really sick so I had to stop.

I did the crest white strips and LOVED them!!!!!!!!!! My teeth were a bit sensitive, but nothing bad.
