me too...my heart goes out to his fiance and family...I don't know what I would do if I were in the same situation.

I am kind of surprised by eh verdict, but I guess with the two sides of the story being so different there was reasonable doubt in the judges mind.

Just incase, that is. I'm not hearing anything further...hopefully today will be a peaceful one. Its really sad.

i'm surprised that they were found not guilty on ALL counts.

Unfortunately, this was deemed a tragedy and not a crime.

In my eyes, there are always three sides to every story... the defendants, the plaintiffs, and the truth.

This also isnt to say that appeals won't be made and the case will make its way through other courts.

I am not a cop. But I have many friends that are cops. All I have to say is that it is a hard job. It's not easy being a cop and knowing that there is a chance you might be hurt or killed. A cop once told me that the chances of a cop using his/her weapon is pretty rare. They obviously prepare and train for the day they have to use it, but I'm sure they hope not to really have to.
Being an undercover cop is tough. I am not saying that what the cops did was right. I think it is a tragedy. They have to live w. that for the rest of their lives. I think they probably got really scared and kept shooting. I think that everyone involved in this case is a victim. Hopefully nothing bad will happen to the cops involved or their families. Does anyone know if these cops get to go back to work for the NYPD?

That is BULL$HIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Makes you wonder where the hell is the justice in this country. I feel bad for both sides of the spectrum here. But those officers should have paid for what they did- in one way or another.
