NWR: THOUGHT I was in big trouble!
The other day, I found two old parking ticketsin my files... and I freaked out b/c they were like a year overdue!! I immediately mailed a check with the tickets. It was like $45...
Anyway, my car (at the time I got the tickets) was registered at my parents address, where I used to live. My dad emailed me I got mail from the court today, but it didn't look like jury duty. I FREAKED out. I was afraid I was in trouble for not paying the tickets earlier or they wanted some big late fee or something.
I got so nervous I was considering leaving work early to go pick it up... I called home and had my mom open it for me instead...
They sent the check back... with a letter saying I had already paid the tickets.![]()
All that worry for nothing! I must have paid them online b/c I still had the tickets!
