Can you handwash a sweater that says 'DRY CLEAN ONLY'?
I might do a sweater change, and the sweater I wore to work today is the one I want to wear tomorrow!!! I was so tired this morning, I didn't even think of dropping this off at the dry cleaners and wearing something else!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: NWR: to dry clean or not
I would definetly try and use Wool Lite and hand wash it in the sink. Lay it flat to dry. I have done it a few hundred times for my daughter's cheerleading outfit that says Dry Clean Only and I haven't had a problem.

i never dry clean anything! i always do a handwash cycle in cold water and lay flat or hang to dry then throw it in the dryer for a few minutes to fluff it up

Re: NWR: to dry clean or not
Depends on the fabric and material of the sweater.I've thrown in clothes that say 'Dry clean only' in my washer/dryer and used gentle cycle and plenty of Woolite.
If the sweater is a fine chenille, cashmere or wool-blend, or even a thick silk blend, you can get away with using gentle cycle in the washer but you must AIR DRY the sweater immediately after the cycle ends. If its rayon/polyester - i'd dry clean.

Re: NWR: to dry clean or not
honestly, if you really want to wear the sweater. do it. the only one smelling you is your FH. just spray some perfume
i think id be too scared to ruin it by doing somethin tonight. just wear it dirty. the pictures wont know you stink

I wouldn't. I did it with pair of linen pants on accident and the results were not pretty I was so mad.
What's it made of?

I FORGOT ABOUT THIS STUFF!! Good call!
Totally go to Wal Mart or Target and get it, it's awesome, it really works and it will NOT ruin your clothes... and so much cheaper than dry cleaning, espcially for things that don't necessarily need to be pressed crisp, you know? Like sweaters!!
