I decided that I wanted to get my masters degree in business. So I started in january. I had my finals tonight. I HATE GOING! I work for Chase and they pay for you to get your masters as long as it is job related. I don't plan on having this big to do career or anything. As old fashioned as it is, I want to get married and have babies. So even though I hate going, do I continue and get a higher education for free?

Re: NWR - to go to school or not
I think you should stay in school. A Master's is something great to fall back on. Your babies won't be babies forever.

Yes, you should continue.......especially if it is FREE! It may seem like a hassle now, but I'm sure you will appreciate the experience and whatever benefits come with it......somewhere down the road.

YES -- Continue!!! I am graduating next Sunday with my MBA with a dual concentration in Computer Info Systems and Accounting, and I really believe it was ALL worth it! I hated going too, but it is invaluable to have.
Stay in school -- especially if it's FREE!

Definately keep going....school isnt fun..but you never know where life may lead you and you will have an MBA, that will gte you far if you need it..if not..its still a huge accomplishment so be proud of yourself. Im in a 66 credit masters and I WISH I could find a job to pay for it..Im taking out student loans and they are racking up....take advantage of what has been offered to you!!! Hang in there!!!

not to sound depressing but you never know the cards your going to be dealt in life. if you could put yourself in the best financial position for you and your family, for free no less, i would do it. jmo. i went for my master's full time right after undergrad and i'm still paying for it but fh is getting his for free!

Re: NWR - to go to school or not
I know what you mean. I got my master's in education and after student teaching, knew I didn't want to teach so I just fininshed the program anyway, but I paid for it. If I were you I wouldn't continue the program only b/c if you don't have any major plans of opening an empire, what does it matter. It's not coming out of your pocket and it's not worth the added time and stress that goes with the classes. For my situation I actually regret having to shell out the money in student loans every month. And I too want to have babies and just work part time.

If you had to pay, it would be a question of whether or not to continue. Since it is free, continue for sure!

Re: NWR - to go to school or not
I say finish. You never know what the future will hold and after you have babies you may want to go back to work. If Chase is paying for it take advantage of it.
I am graduating with my MBA in 4 weeks and it was the best decision. You just started so give it some time. Hopefully you will begin to enjoy the class discussions and cases.
