Buddakhan is great but the portions are not so big.

I love love love Asia De Cuba (madison/30's), Son Cubano, STK, Spice Market, Pompano (mid-town)to name a few. I think for the hippest location you want to be in the Meat Packing district which most of the above restaurants are in except where i noted.

have fun.

Yeah all portions at thai and asian fusion places are small BUT buddakan is family style, not as big as italian restuarants but considering what the sizes normally are, it is family style for them. FH and i ordered 3 appetizers and 2 entree's for dinner and then dessert. Now buddha bar has insanely small portions, i left the place starving lol

Son cubano is a fun place, i just didn't like their food

Ono at the Gaansevort is the best Japanese food, and great ambiance. Not sure if its still considered trendy -- I don't go out like I used to!

I second Rosa Mexicano. The Guacomole and Pomegranate Margaritas are the BOMB!
