so um i wanna bring my cable box to cablevision and get the DVR box but is it just ast simple as unplugging wires and stuff? i dont wanna mess anything up so any advice would be great!

i don't think it's hard at all. bring them the box, they'll do whatever they have to on their end to switch you over to the DVR box and then you'll come home and plug the other one in. the card should be programmed for you already!

if you have an HD TV make sure you tell them that. otherwise they'll give you a regular tv DVR and you won't be able to watch your HD channels with a good picture

have u tried calling them...they have walked me through manyproblems that i had with my box...saved me trips down there...do u need the #?

its really easy to disconnect and connect and using the dvr is really easy too. even tho FH still hasnt figured it out. its better that way. :)

yeah, its easy, but for some reason my old neighborhood wasn't conducive for the DVR box, so i had to have them reprogram it over the phone.
