NWR: Unbelievable

So Im watching the news and they're talking about the new governor that was sworn in today. And during a recent intereview he admitted that him AND his wife have both had affairs in the past! They went to counseling but still...can't anyone keep it in their pants anymore?!?!

i just saw this.. breaking news at 11pm.. lol. marital problems happen.. still not as bad as having reckless unsafe sex with paid whores..

and i don't mean that having an affair is okay..

Mina, you crack me up! You're totally right though. Yes, people go through rough marital problems and an affair is NO excuse. We just hear about people in politics and celebrities more because of their status.

I think it was good that both admitted to it, although I don't feel as though personal issues like this affect their governing capabilities.

Estimates about how many people have extramarital affairs are really disturbing... i've seen stats that say from 30-60% married men have an affair while 15-40% women have an affair.. obviously huge discrepancies in numbers, but even the low estimates are very high in my opinion. a sad statistic any way you look at it! the majority of men/women don't know their sig. other is cheating.

at least the gov and his wife know about the other. still not acceptable but this is their own personal business, i feel it's best to know they've worked through it!
