NWR Unitarian Universalism

NWR Unitarian Universalism

Is anyone a Unitarian? I've been looking it up online to find the basic beliefs and all, but I'd rather hear it from a person than from Wiki! What are the basic beliefs? What goes on at a mass? Does anyone know any good Unitarian Congregations on the island? Also, is there a formal process to join? (Baptism, Communion, Confirmation, etc)

I was born and raised Catholic, but I think I'm better suited for Unitarianism.

FH's Mom just started going to a Unitarian Church in Southold. From what I know, it's very accepting of people from all faiths etc. I should look into it b/c I am soooo not into my Catholic religion

I am getting married at the Unitarian Congregation in Manhasset. I read up on it before booking a little. We are not joining there as of now but we might consider it once we have children or atleast putting them in the religious education. Did you check out the official Unitarian Universalist Site? Yes, they are very very open and incorporate the traditions of many different religions into their religious education and services.

Thanks for the info! Yep I started looking into it. I think I'm going to join within the next few months.

i don;t have any usual information to share, but i just went to a training for work held at the uu church in shelter rock, they were so helpful aswering all my questions. If you live by there check them out. I also met the minister Hope from the UU in garden city, she was so helpful also.

That's good to know about the Garden City one, because I'm quite close to there.
