NWR: vent about school ((looonggg))
im so stressed about school right now... last january, I transferred from one college to another. I have been at the new college for 1.5years now.. well, being a transferred student, its like people forget about me..i dont get emails im supposed to & i dont get notified about important things..
for example, a test. I am an english education major. I will be student teaching in the fall (I got held back a semester for transferring). Well, before I student teach, there are 3 classes i have to take in the summer. I went to my advisor to schedule these classes... she steps out of her office and comes back saying 'we have a big problem, nichole'
im like, great..what is it. She then tells me about this english comprehension test that all seniors must take in order to graduate. It is only offered in the spring & students just took it like 2 weeks ago. She continues to tell me that I can still student teach, but I will have to wait til next spring to take the test...therefore, i wont recieve my degree until may!!!!
i flipped out... saying it was bullsh!t and it wasnt my fault, i transferred, shes my advisor, shes suppose to inform me of this stuff. she says, im sorry, im not use to this advising thing yet, i havent even been doing it for a full 2 semesters yet! im like WHAT?! YOU HAVE BEEN MY FREA,KING ADVISOR SINCE LAST JANUARY!
anyway, i had to go talk to the head of the english department...now i am waiting to hear back form them to see if i can take this damn test this semester...
oh and the head of the english department says, i dont know how you didnt know about it because we had a test set up for you, you just never showed.... im like really?! you had one set up for me? thats funny because i never even signed up for the damn thing!!!!!
also, the test is on stuff that is taught on certain literature classes at this college...another problem, I HAD ALL OF THOSE CLASSES AT A DIFFERENT SCHOOL! how the heII do they expect me to pass?!?!?
im so sressed right now
