NWR VENT- COMMERCE BANK

OK SO APPARENTLY COMMERCE BANK INSTITUTED A NEW RULE!!!!

If you account dips below $100 they charge you$15!!! I WAS DEFINATELY not aware of this....I HAVE OVER $20K linked up in accounts there between wedding fund and CDs!!! I AM LIVID RIGHT NOW!!!!

I have my primary checking account that I've been using just to pay for stuff for my MOH's wedding this year and between that and bills its gotten below $100...not negative, just below $100....FUUUCKING HIT ME FOR OVER $30 SO FAR!!!!!

I JUST WANTED TO INFORM YOU ALL JUST IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW!!!

I would call and complain for a refund. They should reverse it if you tell them you are taking your accts elsewhere.

I know, isn't this new thing ridiculous! I am livid too!!! I would have never opened an account with them if I knew that they were going to do this... I'm switching to washington mutual!

That's A LOT of money to be charging people to go below their minimum! That's ridiculous!

thats ridiculous!!! I would definitely call and ask for a refund. They will usually give it to you.

After reading this post, I called Commerce. They said it was effective April and they sent notices and flyers (I never go a flyer!)

Anyways - this is total B.S and when i get some time, I am going to be closing my commerce account and switching to either WaMu or HSBC.

I too found this out recently. But we were able to get around bc a friend of mine works there and made us have a 'student' account. I don't know why they would do this, they were my fav. bank up to this

I had the same thing happen to me....said they sent a letter about it -- I don't remember getting anything!

I called them and had it reversed.

FH and I had a BIG problem w/ Commerce , we changed to WAMU and never had any problems since , FM me if you want details

I would go there in person and tell them if they do not fix this that you are removing all your funds from there at that moment and taking your business to a different bank that does not have this rule. Then if they don't fix it, do just that!

Same thing happened here, but the first time they deducted the $15 it was the bank's fault. I keep the min $100 in the checking account because
I don't want to keep money in the account if it doesn't earn interest. It is a little amount BUT IT IS THE PRINCIPLE behind it. My other bank doesn't charge me to maintain my checking account AND it links all of my accounts together.
Commerce does not link accounts.

Long story short, Commerce did it again and this time they won't reverse the charge. I took all my money out and opened a new joint account in my other bank.

I had the same issue with them. I have one checking account that I write checks out of to cover my bills. I transfer monies from my joint account and savings and everything gets paid out of that. They started charging me those fees as well. THEY CLAIM THAT THEY SENT A LETTER, BUT THEY NEVER DID.

I call everytime they do it and they refund the fee. I have advised them that if they continue to charge me for that I will leave the bank. So far they have stopped for the past few weeks. If it continues I am going to leave though. That is a bunch of BS.

The 'letter' came as a piece of paper along with the April statement. It was NOT a separate mailing.

I had the same problem. I called them and told them I was never informed and they credited my account the $15 fee they took but you must keep $100 in there all month long otherwise, they will withdraw the $15 fee again. They did it to me 2x b/c the 1st time, they never told me that I had to maintain a balance of $100 all month long.

Call them and tell them and be firm. That's what I did.
