nwr vent just need to VENT.

So I get my arse up at 6am to get all nice and presentable for court. i get my parking spot in the station garage, get on the train, the subway, and to the courthouse. 9:45 conference (calendar call - there are usually about 20 cases on this judges calendar. we were #15).

12:45PM - opposing counsel STILL hadn't shown up!!!! they finally let me adjourn it and leave. what an effing waste of a day! i spoke to the damn guy on MONDAY. he is a MORON. I got back to my office like a half hour ago.

Ugh!!! People are the worst!!!

This is what happens almost every time I go to court for work

We go there, wait for anywhere between 3 and 8 hours, only to be told it's being adjourned.

i work for a law firm too & when ever crap like that happens with my boss he sits in court e-mailing the crap out of us. its so annoying.

i always will listen to you! sorry you had a wasteful day

look at it this way, at least you weren't stuck in court until 4 pm waiting to argue a motion or doing trials (like what happened to me yesterday in Bklyn, or last week in Staten Island).

Gotta love billing though!
