NWR: VENT - MY CAR

Things keep breaking on my car and its annoying me. I now have to have a part replaced that with labor is going to cost me over a grand to get fixed. I'm just really annoyed because with the wedding coming up in 4 and half months this is not what I need right now

we actually did just this. bought online break pads and now we are going to a mechanic to install paying only for an hr of labor. this saved us over $300.

we've been having like gazillion car maintenance issues for the past 2 weeks. sooooo annoying!

Yeah thanks for the tips gals - unfortunately the intake gasket of my impala (american cars ) is leaking and the car keeps leaking coolant. About a month ago I needed the water pump replaced cause it was leaking coolant. Its an 8hr job because basically they have to take apart part of the car to get to where it is. I really am starting to think chevy is a scam...

I agree - trust me on this, as long as you know exactly what part you need - you will save money if you purchase it on your own instead of having a shop order it for you.

FH is a huge car guy and always does this, for both his Subaru and his '72 Dodge Dart.

Sorry to hear about the problems, Stacey
