nwr: very painful....

OMG! It was Wednesday morning on my way to work about 5 minutes from the jamaica train station & I started to have an etremely painful stabbing feeling. I was getting hot flashes & thought I was going to pass out from the pain. I called my mom & I told her to get ready that I'm coming over asap because we need to go to the hospital. I made it down to the street & got into some random car (luckily for me it really was a cab) I made it to the hospital back in LI. Turns out I had kidney stones!!. I was kept in the hospital for almost 4 days, 2 of those days I waas completely drugged up with painkillers -I saw the doctor for about 10 minutes in the total 4 days of being in the hospital. I still don't know If I have them- the doctors never removed them, they don't even know if I passed them. I was not pleased with this hospital at all. I was finally sent home because my pains had stopped. Well, now I am home & very bloated from the constant IV & just feel gross....
I hope no one ever has to go through this

I am so sorry!! I am also sorry the hospital didnt help try and make it a comfortable stay!! I hope you feel better and I hope you did pass them so you dont have to go through that pain again

That's weird because one of my friends had kidney stones last week. It is one of the most painful things to go through, next to childbirth. They took a CAT Scan and couldn't see the stones anymore so they said he passed them. Hope you're feeling a little better!

girls, drink plenty of water so that you are continuously flushing out your system.
I would drink only about 2 cups worth of fluids for an entire day. Well, No more after this experience.

I am praying for you!!!

I had a very bad expierence with a Hospital on LI also... Thats what I just went to Columbia Presbyterian to have my surgery done...

IT was the BEST thing I have EVER DONE!

I was in the same pain as you after my son .. they thought it was kidney stones .. but it turned out it was a kidney infection .. i had c-scans .. xrays .. after my son i had it 4 times .. its the worst pain ever . they said that some women get it after having a baby .. i guess i was lucky .. they kept me for about 4 days also .. it was the worst .. i hope your feeling better ...
