OMG! It was Wednesday morning on my way to work about 5 minutes from the jamaica train station & I started to have an etremely painful stabbing feeling. I was getting hot flashes & thought I was going to pass out from the pain. I called my mom & I told her to get ready that I'm coming over asap because we need to go to the hospital. I made it down to the street & got into some random car (luckily for me it really was a cab) I made it to the hospital back in LI. Turns out I had kidney stones!!. I was kept in the hospital for almost 4 days, 2 of those days I waas completely drugged up with painkillers -I saw the doctor for about 10 minutes in the total 4 days of being in the hospital. I still don't know If I have them- the doctors never removed them, they don't even know if I passed them. I was not pleased with this hospital at all. I was finally sent home because my pains had stopped. Well, now I am home & very bloated from the constant IV & just feel gross.... I hope no one ever has to go through this

omg i'm so sorry!!! How sucky is that hosp!?!?! They should have been monitoring you to see if you passed the stones. Did they do an xray or CT scan when you left to see if the stones passed??? Continue drinking of plenty of water, chica. Feel better

Re: nwr: very painful....
thanks so much everyone! It's so hard to believe that something so small could cause so many problems. If anyone you know ever gets them, FM me & I will tell you which hopital NOT to go to. They didn't even do an x-ray to see if I still had the stone before they discharged me b/c I didn't have any pain for 24 hours. I did ask them to x-ray but they insisted it wasn't needed and last night I woke up with more pains. I'm ok now but tomorrow I'll have to go to another ureologist.
