NWR: Very sad about my kitty!!! UPDATED

I just found out that my kitty (who lives with my parents) has kidney blockage and was immediately taken into surgery when they brought him in. They were told he has a 50/50 chance. We'll have test results in an hour. He's only 5.

UPDATE:
I just found out that he's okay . We got test results yesterday that were from when he was brought in on Friday, and they were off the charts terrible. So they ran new tests yesterday and they came back completely normal. Even the doctor was surprised. It looks like they will be able to take him home on Wednesday. We're are all sooooo relieved. The cat is the center of their universe. I'm not even kidding

I just had to put my cat down a week ago today, so I know the pain and worry involved. Is your cat young? I hope it bounces back and recovers!

I couldn't read this thread at first either... Im so sensitive to this, I have three cats that are my family practically...and the bad news about ANY animal just KILLS me!! I will keep you in my prayers, Keep your head up!

I talked to my mom and they are going to go see him tomorrow during visiting hours. The vet was talking about how they have to keep him on a strict diet. I'm guessing he wouldn't say things like that if things were really bad. So he is in recovery/observation for the next 2 days. He's got an IV in his 'arm'. I'm hopeful.
