NWR: WATER EVERYWHERE!!!
Hey all,
So many of you know, FH and I have been doing all of the updates to our apartment in my grandparents house. Well yesterday we went to Home Depot and purchased a new kitchen faucet. FH said he didn't think he could do it and that he wanted his dad to do it. My big mouth butted in, 'oh my dad can do it, so you can' (my dad is not very handy at all)
So Matt attempts to replace the faucet. He turns off the water (he thinks) then proceeds to pull apart the faucet. Well, the faucet breaks and water starts shooting out of it- everywhere! Matt is trying to hold it in, but it's HOT water. He is screaming at me and I didn't know what to do. Good thing there was a bucket under the sink, which I remember about and I put that over where the water was coming out and then ran next door to my uncle's house where he helped us find the main water for the house. THANK GOODNESS!!
Turns out, Matt only shut off the cold water to the sink and not the hot water. We laughed about it later, but seriously FH was flipping out. I have to admit that I was kinda chuckling inside![]()
but good thing nothing was damaged in our new apartment. Oh and now we have a beautiful new faucet!! Pictures to come soon....
