nwr: we just got...
a new car! nothing fancy, a blue honda fit sport, but we needed it. the car we're using right now is on loan from his dad and looks great, but needs over $5000 worth of work and even then might not be fixed (the engine isn't reponding to the throttle), plus it's leaking exhaust into the cabin... fun. anyways, i'm SO excited! i hate our car now (infiniti j30) it's huge and guzzles premium gas. now we'll have a nice little car with good mileage and a lot of room!
and what's even better is that fmil and fh's stepdad paid the down payment and we only have to pay off $10,000! plus fil wants to cover the first 6 months of insurance since we're moving and starting new jobs while trying to save for the wedding and eventually a house.
i'm just so relieved. i had no idea how we were getting to ny otherwise (we need to drive up from tx b/c of our cats and stuff). and we all know you need a car on li. yay! my first car!
