theres 2 houses near my parents for sale for a great deal....its in Port Jeff Sta but Mount Sinai schools...i can get the info on them if u want....just not sure what price range you are looking for

the best website to go on is mlsli.com i used to have my real estate license. any hous listed on multiple listing service is on it. The only ones that wont be on there are the office exclusives

coach realtors and their website has everything that mlsli has and more.
i don't know your budget, but i currently live in the greenlawn/elwood SD area and you can definitely get a house here for $400-500K. But like i said, i don't know your budget.

I just bought into Holbrook... Aside from being a very large school district, Ive read that the schools are pretty good... I really like it here so far... Im right in the middle of LIE and sunrise... completely easy to get to... tons of shopping (smithhaven mall nearby)... i was addicted to using trulia.com when i was searching so you can try that
ETA: If you're looking into condos at all, my development has a few for sale... 2 and 3 bedroom ranch and townhouses for 250-300
