Re: NWR: Westchester
I just want to be able to find a reasonably priced apartment in a safe neighborhood, not too far of a commute from Queens... close to shopping, etc.
Thanks!

i grew up there. you may want to look into white plains - lots of shopping (the westchester, target, bloomingdale's) and they've been building a lot of new apt/condos close to metro north. it's also close to all of the major highways. new rochelle and larchmont too. this is all on the eastern side of westchester. on the hudson river side, you may want to take a look at tarrytown and sleepy hollow.
good luck with your search.

I was going to suggest that. I live in queens, but work in White Plains. The train is right there, and tons of shops and restaurants and nightlife.

I lived in White Plains for a year. If you are looking for an apartment and an easy commute to the city thats where you need to be. There are other nice places, but if you plan on commuting back home thats your place.

I'm a Westchester girl!
Are you looking to buy/rent? Pelham, (parts of)New Rochelle), Eastchester, Larchmont, (parts of) Yonkers, Harrison, Mamaroneck, (parts of) White Plains are a close commute to Queens and nice areas to live in. I would stay more towards the areas that are closes to 95 & the Hutch so you don't have to drive across the county.
