Just thought of this... the 2 'bells' that sound when someone's going to make an announcement over the PA system in my elementary school, esp every morning for the pledge of allegiance.

The screeching sound of the PA system when someone in the office accidentally hits the on button and doesn't realize it.

The leaf blowers outside my classroom window.

The LOUD fire alarm bells for a fire drill in my school. My kids all cover their ears!

static made by tv or radio when nextel is near it

dying battery

grinding gears

squeaky brakes

typing on a keyboard (when trying to sleep)

the clicking sound when turning on a gas burner

the noise an oil burner makes when it turns on

a jackhammer

a truck in reverse

the no seatbelt bell

sirens

- the loud sounds of my neighbors gardener's when they come...sounds like they are in my house...too fargin loud!

- wind noise in a car when you have the windows open slightly...especially when you get the 'helicopter' effect

- the sounds my printer makes when it's warming up...sounds like it's grinding gears inside

- certain ringers on home or office phones..why do they choose annoying sounds?? haha

-the sound of someone clicking their mouse or typing

really obnoxiously loud FANS

HI-

My FH is a mechanical engineering major and he has to list a 100 'bugs'. They have to be mechanical like the sound of a blow dryer or the beeping of an alrm clock. Any ideas??? TIA

when people swallow really loud like that are trying to make gulping noises - eww

the sound of ice scrapping(like italian ice with a spoon)

The sound styro foam makes when you take it out of a cardboard box.

the strumming of someones fingers on the desk

the clinging of a spoon and a bowl

The clicking noise car directionals make.
The sound my Samsung tv makes when you turn it on/off. Do-di-dooot is the best i can describe it.
