Wear to work? And what kind of atmosphere do you work in?
I start my new (first really) full time job in 3 weeks. I'm a middle management position working at a Y. There are senior level people at my site, as well as high school and college part time staff, and kids (I will be the program director for programs for kids with autism)
Need some ideas about how I should dress and what kind of stuff should be stocking up on!

Pants and a cute shirt for the first few weeks until you get a feel of the place. That's what I did and right now I'm in jeans, button down top and sneakers lol. Occasionally I'll wear pants but eh. lol

I wear jeans almost every day, but my office has become pretty casual. On a day where I know a client is coming in, I dress much more professionally.
You cant go wrong with simple black pants and a nice sweater or shirt.

Re: NWR: What does everyone...
Since you're new, I would dress up more. I'm a teacher. When I started I would wear dress pants, skirts, and always made sure to not have cleavage because it's middle school kids. Nice button up shirts, dressy shirts...I got nice clothers for cheap at Kohls/Dress Barn. I dont think you need to wear suits (I would wear them on interviews), but def nice pants, skirts, dresses. Good luck with your new job.
I wear nice clothes now too, but I also wear jeans a lot.

I work at a place where its mostly guys ... Its super casual. We usually have sports on the TV by 2pm, some guys are sleeping at their desk after lunch, they fight and scream and I LOVE EVERY DAY OF IT!!
Im always in jeans unless Im bringing clients out then I dress up on those days ...
