i work for a title insurance company, we run the background on houses like when you buy or refinance a house the bank requires title.
ive been doing it since i was 19 and I hate it. I'm currently making less money then i was when i started. business is really ****** right now. But i guess i'm lucky to still be here.
ive been trying to find something new for a few months now but cant seem to find anything I want to do. Not that i have any clue what i want to do lol
what title company do you work for? i'm a para for a real estate law firm. we are presdent banks & buyers and order title all the time...

I am a scientist. I study a protein linked to heart attacks and strokes and what regulates it. I'll have my Ph.D. in TWO WEEKS!! Then I'll be moving to NC to do research and teach at UNC Chapel Hill.
wow - are you and your FH going to be living in NC then? and still getting married here? or is this a temporary thing

I am dying to do something creative too but everything I am interested in means a serious paycut and starting from the bottom. If I were single again and living at home I'd totally do it.
I work for an engineering company that's rebuilding the WTC transit hub. I wanted to get involved in this project for that reason. But 3 years later of doing the same thing (document control) is really wearing on me.
so, what happens when they finally build new WTC transit hub? do you all get transfered to another project?

My position at my job is ending, but I am a Paralegal.
I'm thinking of going back to school, but I'm unsure what I would want to go in.

I was doing broadway musical advertising up until this past fall...I left my job to work for myself (who posted the other day about hating bosses?! LOL). I'm an independent graphic designer. Hooray pajamas!
YAY Freelance!!! I've been in Graphic Design for 13 Years now. Been working from home for over a year and love it. Always in PJs lol I also work 16 hrs a week (nights) for a local newspaper just for a base salary. Working from home is great - when it's steady!
How long have you been working from home? I'm just curious how you balance your time. I'm finding it hard to make a schedule. I say I'll work a 9-5 take lunch and outside breaks, but I almost never do. Then all of the sudden I realize I haven't done the laundry, started dinner or even fed the dogs, let alone myself! Then I'll sneak back over to the computer after dinner, or if I can't sleep at 2am because I came up with an idea. Kind of feels like I'm always working!!!!! lol

Re: NWR What does everyone do?
I am a looser. =( I actually feel like one though.
I went to NYU business school, didn't really appreciate it and the opportunities so i was like whatever, I have a degree from Stern Business School NYU ill get a job anywhere, YEAH RIGHT... then i did get a job, in Marketing, Hated it, even went back to NYU and got another degree in accounting, my job then gave me a little job in accounting and am still stuck in the same accounting position, so have not moved anywhere. and now im scared to look for a new job cuz of the wedding expense, so i feel like im settling into my comfy job cuz i know its secure. ughhhhhhhh
I want to go back in time. Def not where i saw myself 5 years after college. sniff sniff
