Okay, I have a e-machine, it's like 4 years old, and it's on it's last leg
I was thinking about getting a Dell, but I don't know. What do you girls have?

I have an HP desktop, a toshiba laptop, and a computer my FH built himsel we call it the super computer

Personally I love Apples. But it really depends on what you need the computer for. For basic use DELLS are affordable but very good. I'm not thrilled with their customer service though.

We have a dell, but customer service takes days (FH always calls for me! ) but the computer itself is great!

I love Dells. Everyone in my family has one. I've never needed Customer Service because my FH is a computer geek so I wouldn't know.
I also think Gateways are good. HPs are okay. Don't get a Compaq; they are the worst IMHO.

I use Mac only, too. At work I have a G5 tower (it is FAST) and at home, we have the new iMac. I also have an old G3 laptop. At my last job, they made me use a PC and I hated every second of it. Needless to say, I only worked there for 14 months........

I have a Dell 700m laptop. I love it..it's only four lbs and the best part is that I bought it from ebay brand new with a warranty and saved about $600!

Gateway! Not expensive, great customer service! I had a Dell and a SONY before and just wasnt too happy with it. I love my PC!

FH likes my Dell and he thinks it's a good company. But he has 3 computers that he's built himself so he doesn't need to actually buy a Dell. His apartment is filled with computer parts; it's his little store.

I have an apple ibook laptop at home and FH also has an apple... the emac, desktop. I love it and would never go back to PC!
We have IBM at work... PC.

I have a dell and found that the costumer service was always really good...expecially since you can always call and they will help you free of charge

1st I had a Dell laptop (inspiron I think) and the hard drive blew.
Now I have a Gateway PC Desktop and I LOVE it, but I just recently lost my hard drive. So...
I'm liking the Gateway desktop MUCH better even though I had hard drive trouble. Their cutomer service is SO MUCH BETTER. I can actually understand them and what they are explaining to me. I had many a frustrating nights fighting with the Dell CS people.
But i think it's all personal.

We're Dell people, too. Not sure about their CS because I never deal with them...that's FH's territory!
