NWR: What kind of computer are you using?

and how do you rate it?

Okay, I have a e-machine, it's like 4 years old, and it's on it's last leg

I was thinking about getting a Dell, but I don't know. What do you girls have?

I have a dell and found that the costumer service was always really good...expecially since you can always call and they will help you free of charge

Actually, after your one year service contract expires, you have to pay for CS...other than some basic info.

My brother built mine, and it's almost time for a new one. (Time to get FH a new laptop, so that might be his wedding present!!)

Prior to this I had a HP and it served me well for over 4 years. Everyone else in my family has Dells, so that might be what I get next.

Although I am tempted to get a Mac next time!!

I use Mac only, too. At work I have a G5 tower (it is FAST) and at home, we have the new iMac. I also have an old G3 laptop. At my last job, they made me use a PC and I hated every second of it. Needless to say, I only worked there for 14 months........

I'm a Mac girl too. We have an e-mac at home, and I've had my iBook for 4 years. Can't STAND DH's Dell laptop. It's seriously a POS...and we paid the same thing for it.

yeah but the cs they give you after the contract is up was awesome...Fh deleted something by accidnet and long story short we had to reinstall windows and the drivers and this was atleast 2 yrs after the contract was up and they walked us through it no problem and no questions asked

I love Dells.

Don't get a Compaq; they are the worst IMHO.

I agree - I had a Compaq in college, and it was nothing but trouble!

I have a Dell and FH has an HP - we both like our computers.

Oo, I forgot to tell - I just got a new iBook G4! I want Titanium though, lol!
