NWR- What 'NY' things to bring out of state friends?

Hi all,
I am going to see friends this weekend and I wanted to bring some 'New York' things to them. I sent bagels once before, and was going to send Pizza, but I am going send that when I get back.

Any ideas from you incredibly intelligent ladies?

How far out of town are you going? Would pizza even make the trip? Do you want only food ideas?

I grew up in CA and when I visit I always bring my MOH black & white cookies (the pack they sell at costco in the bakery...they're the best) and my MOH's dad always requests regular Wise potato chips and Drakes Cakes (ie: devil dogs, yodels, etc). oh, and when I lived there, we had relative's ship us 4C breadcrumbs from NY and drakes cakes.. neither of which we could buy in CA..

The live in South Bend, Indiana.

The pizza we were going to ship with Dry ice so when we got there it would be there and that would have been lunch.

Entenmenns is a good idea. I don't know if they have that out there

How about Starbucks?? haha...when we visit MIL in Indiana i go thru withdrawal! I don't remember seeing any there.

New York Cheesecake, Big Pretzels, Rainbow Cookies, rugelach

Some homemade pasta and sauce, or bought from an Italian specialty store? I live out of state now and I can never find good pasta and sauce, its always the generic kind at the grocery store!

I just got TOLD by friends Mom not to bring anything because us coming there is the gift....I REALLY need to bring something now

Black & White cookies are a must. Not many people know what they are from the midwest & west side. Italian Bread also. Okay now I am hungry.
