I am planning a beach trip on Sunday with my brother, SIL & nieces & nephew. We usually go locally to Coney Island, but I heard its a worse dump then ever before.
Can I have some suggestions of where you go to the beach??

i always go to point lookout, but if you're not a resident of the toh its 20 to get in i believe..but it not too big, its never too crowded, and they keep it up nicely

Lido Beach West in Long Beach is great. It's kind of hidden so there aren't crowds of people.

I usually got o Robert Moses bc its right near me. I would suggest Joans Beach if your coming from the west.

We usually go to Sunken Meadows or Jones Beach; just take the Belt Parkway straight onto the Southern State Parkway. A pretty straight forward drive.
There's also Robert Moses Park.

robert moses beach last saturday was AMAZING. the water was CARRIBEAN BLUE.. ppl were shocked. i love it there
on sunday i met staceyums at her job, and she wrote out directions to a beach in westhampton. i dont know if youre willing to drive that far, but my friends and i had a blast! i would do that with friends tho, altho its a family oriented beach.. they have a great bar lolol

Also, it sounds like a bunch of people are going so I would reccomend going to a beach where they charge you per car and not per person like Long Beach

I love Long Beach, but they charge you $10 pp if you don't live there.

We usually go to ToBay or Robert Moses....Tobay is really clean and quiet...
I used to love Jones Beach field 4 when I was younger but its too loud and chaotic there now....its like a mini club!

Same here - thats where I usually go. But I have to agree with the other girls, I was t Robert Moses on Monday and it was beautiful! The water was crystal clear!

ITA...both are great. Robert Moses is my regular beach anyway

You can't get into Tobay if you are not a Town of Oyster Bay resident.
Also, be careful at the beach on Sunday...the hurricane is sending up rip tides!! We'll be at a north shore beach right by me...its Sound swimming, but at least I won't be carried out to sea lol
