NWR: What's your OCD?

So I think we all do things that's can be a bit obsessive in ways.....let's share them.

A lot of you know I work with the mentally ill, so please don't anyone take this the wrong way. I'm just bored on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I'll start:

I have to check my alarm clock a bunch of times before I go to bed on a work night because I'm scared it won't go off in time for work!

positioning is my problem. If I put something somewhere that's where it belongs, like the dishsoap belongs on the left. The toilet paper rolls out etc. It annoys me where people move them from their place. I'm a big hand washer too.

I hate messy draws of socks and lingere. Mine are all folded nicely with dividors inbetween. They are separated by color and fabric type. Is that crazy??

All the labels in the fridge and pantry have to be facing out, so I see the front of the label.

My office at work. I do not leave until everything is in neat piles with paperweights on top of them (Because one day a huge breeze might come through)

People come in my office and screw with everything on purpose.

I have a few OCD's

I always like to carry a paper towel in my hand like rolled up in a ball.
I am always dusting my desk at work everything has to be in place.
I am always dusting my room.
My closet and drawers are extremely neat and if anything gets out of order I have to fix it.

oh yeah, I have another one. My bed MUST remain neat which makes it difficult for me since fiance insists on pulling out the nicely tucked in sheets. when he pulls them out, i often have to retuck them!!!

everything

Lately my two biggest are that I was my hands A LOT, especially with all this talk of bird flu and everything... and I work as a writing tutor, so after having some kid sneeze all over his hands and then use my pencil, I have to go wash my hands a good 2 or 3 times before I'll eat anything. Gross!

I'm also obsessive about checking the door locks on my house. You can never be too careful these days!

I have to ask Matt before we go to bed if his alarm is set, I have to say 'goodnight, sweet dreams, and I love you or else I can't sleep good and have even had nightmares the nights I dont do this!!
Call me crazy but thats my OCD!!!

i'm the same. i usually set 2 alarms - the normal clock, and my cell.

Last week, my cell battery wasn't charged, and it died and shut off in the middle of the night.

When the FIRST alarm woke me up in the morning, I checked the 2nd, and the cell was OFF! I had a mini-panic attack

I'm always punctual and I can't stand when others aren't.

Haha - I'm kind of like that too. I stopped making my bed because I absolutely HATE it when I make the bed and then someone sits on it after I've carefully set my comforter and sheets. After they get up I obsessively fix it until I get out all the wrinkles they made!

For everyone that checks and rechecks their alarm clocks:
I set my cell phone to wake me up at 8 am and when I woke up it wasn't set. Somehow I woke up on my own at 8:15 but I thought it was really funny considering this discussion last night.
