I told FH we needed one 2 weeks ago when it was hot out and I couldnt sleep well...he insisted I was crazy. Well last night he had trouble sleeping and emailed me today saying it's time to get a new air conditioner! thankfully he agreed to it now instead of waiting til August or something lol

Not sure where you live, but check Plessers in Babylon. Even though (or maybe because) they are not a big chain store, they have good prices.

I am not sure if they do this anymore at PC Richards, but if you bring in your old AC, they give you credit towards your new one. I am sure you can call them and ask them if they still honor this.

thanks ladies...super helpful...i completely forgot about BJ's and Costco and a few other stores you mentioned
will def check into PC Richards bc I would totally get rid of mine for some $$$ towards a new one
