NWR--Where to stay?? Please help

So FH and our BFF's are looking to go away this coming weekend--we want a decent motel, within 3 hours drive of LI. We were looking at somewhere where we can rent a boat--any lakes upstate that are really nice and have a nice hotel?

We are also considering Greenport or Montauk, too, but I'm unsure of availability. I have to make some calls
But since we've done both before, I think upstate would be nice....or is there a nice like somewhere else that's not too far?

I've stayed at Cliffside in Greenport several times - it's great but I think they have a 3 night minimum

Also, try The Virginia Hotel in Cape May. I love that place!

Try Bloton Landing, upstate, by Lake George... or if you wanna go out to the east end, that could be a ton of fun too! We live out here, on the South Fork - year round, so I'm not sure where to suggest in Montauk &/ Greenport. Good Luck

YESSS!! i love tis part of lake george, its prob about 4 hrs from LI w traffic but its totally worth if and the lake si amazing, you can rent boats, go parasailing, shop in town... so beautiful!
