Which pill do you guys recommend? I have been on the generic for LoEstrin 21, Junel 21, for about 6 months & I really am hating it. It's making me a raging lunatic especially before my period! I also feel severe anxiety, irritability over nothing, & almost paranoia sometimes too. I'm not like this and it's changing me I feel Does anyone recommend one that they like that DOES NOT cause weight gain? That's the one thing I like I feel like I lost weight on this one. I wish I didn't have to take one at all but I don't want to chance pregnancy before the wedding. TIA!

i have been on both estrostep and orthocyclen (not orthotricyclen) and much preferred the ortho

I've been on so many...right not just using plain old Trinessa-i was on Yaz; i did Loestrin too. None of them seem to work properly for me (mood control etc)

i was on Ortho Evra (patch) for 6 years. i loved it because it was so easy to use however i was suffering from really bad migraine headaches during the patch free week. i recently started OrthoTriCyclen Lo. i no longer have regular migraine headaches but its such a pain to take a pill everyday.

FYI, Trinessa is generic for Ortho Tri Cyclen
Personally, I love my Seasonique, but a lot of girls don't.
As a pharmacy tech, I can tell you that Yasmin (generic), LoEstrin 24 and Ortho Tri Cyclen/Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo (brand and generic) are by far the most frequently prescribed pills I see, if that means anything for you. i'm not sure which are less likely to cause weight gain though
Good luck, it's hard finding one to be happy with, I've been on sooooo many I can't even remember now.

I'm on yaz and it'sfine. I know there is a lot of stuff about it in the news, but my Dr said it's only because so many people are on it, so there are more incidents. They all have the same side effects.

I was on Loestrin 24 which was great except my blood pressure got higher. Then I tried Ortho Lo and its generic, but my period is completely unpredictable on these and my hormones are crazy. So I am going to go off of them.

I've been on Yaz, Yaz Min, and the Ring. I do not recommend any of these. I lost all appetite for intimacy on all of them. And the ring made me certifiably mad. My sister seems to like Loestrin and so do I. I think it's purely subjective and depends on a individual's own body chemistry.

It really depends on the person. Loestrin 24 and I did NOT like one another. I was bleeding for a month straight and got depressed. Then I went on Yaz and it was awesome, although I did experience daily headaches.
I'm completely off BP now, though.

I have been on Loestrin 24 fe for four years and i experience all the same symptoms FH can always tell when i'm getting my period its not like PMS its like PMS on steroids its like i am a freaking crazy person. i just figured it was PMDD! when i was on ortho tricyclin lo i was severely depressed they took me off and i wasn't allowed to have anything and i was fine after a month. so for me i guess it BC in general but i don't want to get prego and I know alot of girls on the depo shot but they all complained they gain weight so i wouldn't do that one.

OMG I'm on YAZ and I keep thinking something is wrong with me!! The first day is absolutely horrendous! Painful and uncontrollable. I thought the lost appetite was just me. Maybe it's not. I have to go back now any how so I will def. look into getting something different!!!

im on loestrin--- feeling the same things- really bad mood swings and low intimacy level. I liked the loestrin because you get shorter periods, it took me awhile to realize that Ive been having these mood swings due to the loestrin...
Im also looking for a change
I did the patch & the ring and didn't have problems with either...
I was thinking about Yaz as it supposedly helps mood swings
? for the yaz girls- how was your weight? and acne?

I started the generic Loestrin 30 last month and am still waiting for my per. i have all the symptons however no per and am 3 weeks late. It's prob late because i switched- (already took 4 ept test because I am a raging lunatic)

I was on estrostep and now I am on Trivora (generis is Enpresse)
no problems with either. the only reason I switched is b/c i was thinking the pill was making my 'appetite for intimacy ' low (i like that phrase that someone used earlier!) so i switched to Trivora - different hormones...
turns out it wasn't that pill that did that to me though - another med i was on lol
