NWR: Which graduation gift should I give

my brother is graduating after 8 years of college (working toward a PhD).

i am SO proud of him and I want to give him a big gift.

Usually for graduations, you give money. and with school loans and looking for a job after school is over and the credit card debt everyone seems to aquire while in college, i was thinking my brother might just need a big hunk of cash.

however, i know he wants a Wii. so i thought about getting this for him instead. he's worked so hard, he deserves to have a little fun too and not feel guilty about buying another game system.

i'm torn between the two. Money or a Wii??

I would get the Wii..i hate giving $$. And a gift is more personal and you know he won't buy it with the $$...

Wow ! Congrats to your brother ! we are celebrating the same for fbil on May 18th in Boston. Go for the WII. It is more personal.

i say the wii and maybe something really special like an engraved business card holder or something to help him professionally also...

I vote the Wii too!!! And throw in Guitar Hero!

he already has Guitar Hero. i thought of maybe doing Rock Band instead of the Wii. but i think he'd like the Wii more

I say Wii!!! He really wants it and will probably go buy it himself after anyway so I think it is nicer to come from you!

I'd say the wii with a ton of accessories (extra remotes, nunchuks, classic controllers and remote chargers). that's what i did for FH wen he graduate college. it all added up to about 600 bucks but he was thrilled.
