My roommates and I did this in college.
Leanne was Charlotte because she was the one engaged and wanted kids.
Michelle was Samantha because she was hooking up with a different guy every weekend.
Jodie was Miranda b/c she was the pre-med major and was always working and studying.
That left me with being Carrie. Which suit me well because I was the English major and always writing papers.

My friends and i have done this (actually twice, 2 different sets of friends) and I am Always Charlotte.. i'm the one who has always been in a relationship.. I am the hopless romantic.. and the first to Get Engaged!!..

this is so funny. My friends and I also did this on a road trip. we took secret ballots. I thought people were going to say I was Carrie but everyone (including myself) voted me to be Miranda because of being driven and goal oriented and not really getting bogged down in a lot of bs or 'materialistic' stuff.

I identify myself with (or maybe I should say I want to be) Carrie the most because she is intelligent and I've always dreamed of becoming a writer. But the thing is I don't think I can identify with any of the charaters completely because they are everything that I am not. They are all white, single (though found their the-other-half in the end), successful, New York women. In terms of background, we don't have anything in common. It's interesting how I still identify with Carrie. Anyone feels the same?
