NWR: Which Shampoo/Conditioner/Treatments??????

So in an effort to move this along to 4 million-

I was wondering what shampoo/conditioner you girls use. My hair is so dry of late and nothing I am doing seems to be working. I've tried various drug store brands and treatments for dry hair (conditioning packs, etc.) and nothing is helping.

What's a good brand for really dry, over processed hair?

believe it or not.. I'm using the new Suave Professionals Radiant Brunette... it's sooo good... leaves your moisturized (not oily) and full of body and volume. and the good thing is that it's $1.97 in Target! They also have it for Radiant Blondes.

I've tried the $40 shampoos and conditoners and it just doesn't do what I want it to do. Who knew that a $2 shampoo would do the tjob!

Really!!! I was considering using a professional brand and now, based on your recommendation, I am going to by myself some Suave. How funny is that?

I once bought a book on how to care for curly hair as I was on my wits end with mine...well, It said most shampoos are full of harsh detergents that damage the hair, it recommended using 'BABY' shampoo as it's has the same cleaning effects in a smaller dosage..well I've been doing it for months and my split ends are scarce, my mom with fine straight hair tried it as well and cant believe how softer her hair has gotten..I still use a regular conditioner, like Pantene but I only use baby shampoo..it's worth a shot HTH

i've heaqrd that about the baby shampoo too. I change my brand all the time. Supposedly panteen is really bad because it contains a lot of alcohol

Oh, wow, thanks everyone! Someone else mentioned that Pantene was really not that good too. I thought it was good but what do I know - I mean if it works for Heather Locklear and Kelly Rippa - why cant it work for me, damnit!

I am going to try the Suave and Baby Shampoo.

Oh, I think my hair might be GAWJUSS on my wedding day!

I use Pantene Pro-v for damaged hair. It is the green bottle. I have very thick, coarse and frizzy hair. I have tried a lot of expensive shampoos and conditioners b/c my gf is a hairdresser and if you ask me, Pantene works the best. Once in a while I do switch though. I also use Potion 9 by Sebastian (leave in conditioner) and Chi Polisher. The Polisher will give you shine and help the dryness.

I get really dry hair, especially during the winter. I use Pantene Pro V Treatment - Deep Hydrating Treatment 2-3 times per week. It comes in a small bottle. I love the way my hair feels after...silky smooth.

I use Biosilk shampoo/conditioner...It makes your hair so soft. I purchase this at a salon and beauty store..It is more on the $$ side, but works wonders
