John is so used to it by now. I was at the first one. Tammy & I led it so he thought i was a bit nuts then but now he's so used to it

FI is a little freaked out, but he's okay with it. The next GTG is only two towns from where we live, so he's all 'if these girls are fake, i'll come down and rescue you '

I think he thinks there are just a bunch of bored men posing as brides on these boards!!!

I'm not going to the GTG, because my wedding is the following weekend and things are super hectic right now...but I HAVE gone to GTG to meet NY girls from other wedding boards and FH definately thought it was a bit 'odd'

A year later though, one of the girls who I've met off the boards is in my bridal party and one of the best bridesmaids ever.

FH now sees that it was actually MUCH BETTER for me to be socializing with other crazed brides...otherwise he would be the one subjected to all the wedding talk for the past 11 months

Mine thinks its a good idea.....he thinks its good networking, for what I don't know.

I think he is just glad that I'm not making him go and talk about wedding stuff.

I just told DH tonite that I am going and he looked a little concerned but didn't say anything. But he did say since it's at 7:00 at night in Deer Park he was a little worried. Then I told him 'Jennbaby' is picking me up and she has over 6000 posts and is the most popular girl on the boards so you don't have to worry!

I'm giong to tell my FI that either I can talk wedding all night with a bunch of girls from this site or I can talk wedding all night with him. I think he'll buy my train ticket to Deer Park.

PS. I may bring mace in case there is an axe murderer or bored man posing as a bride lurking at the GTG! That will make my FI feel better!

My FI knows this is my addiction so he just nods his head at me when I start talking about anything from the boards.

He picked me up at the 12/17 GTG and he said walking into the room was like walking into a room of a bunch of ladies who havent seen each other in years. He said we all looked liked we have known each other for years.

He is glad I am spend so much time on here, keeps me from bugging him.

I was just reading the posts to my parents and FI stuck his head into the room and told me I should go to the GTG. He said the only place he ever sees me online is on LIW. I never thought he noticed!

I'm on the newlywed side now(but notice I'm still here) & Rich thinks I'm a complete loon. Whenever I have any decision to make about life in general he says 'go ask the girls(that's you guys!) & then come & tell me what they think!'
I don't care if I'm already married, I like it here & I wanna meet everyone in person

I have been to a few GTG and I have met individuals. I spoke with quite few ladies, attended weddings, showers etc. Hubby did not like the idea at first he thought it was men posing as women, he thought I was too trusting. The first GTG I attended was in Maryland and he was so worried, I had to give him all sorts of specifics and he had to speak to the girl's whose house I was staying it was a mess. I had to call him as soon as I got there. I am such a pro now, he just ask me when and where.

When I told FH I was going to the first GTG, he thought that I was crazy, and that it was all an evil plot to steal our e-rings (crazy man). Since I made it home alive, he is a little more OK w. it now, although he thinks I am crazy to drive out to Deer Park after work!
