I dont care how amazing of a singer she was... she was a crack addict and she basically killed herself.that should NOT get a half staff recognition...im very disappointed

I agree! Even if she wasn't a drug addict.. she shouldn't be given a hero's honor. I'm personally tired about hearing about her death. Enough already! Yes she had a great voice, yes its sad when anyone dies, I feel bad for her daughter but enough!

Personally I don't get why people are hating on Whitney so bad. Yes she had drug issues seems like that just goes along with the music industry. But I don't think that makes it any less sad that she's passed on. She had an amazing talent and not many female artists today even reach her level. I think her substance abusive problems make the situation that much sadder. Such a waste. I've always loved her music always will

Re: NWR: Who's watching Whitney's Funeral?
My heart goes out to her family, and the tribute was great, and yes she was an addict but if you know anything about addiction you know it's not a choice, it's a disease. I have seen manynlives lost to substances and that breaks my heart. It saddens me that we lost a talent as amazing as Whitney but I do believe she is 'home now' and I am praying she watches out for her daughter.
As for the flag, I could give a rats behind if it was lowered for her in her state. But a side nite he also lowers the flag for each fallen soldier if they are killed in the line of duty.
What bothers me most is that the cardinal was not televised to the extent she was. May she RIP!

I do not believe she was a hero in any sense of the word but she was amazing in what she did when she did it right.
