NWR: Why do people get gold teeth??

Im home sick today, so im watching more TV then usual and they are doing interviews for some movie, and there is an actor/rapper who was talking about his gold teeth and how they cost him $22K!!! Why on earth do people do this to themselves?? I dont even see how this can be remotely attractive!! Can anyone please make me understand!!! If someone offered to buy you gold teeth would you accept??

how funny- i was home sick yesterday and VH1 had Lil Jon & Flava Flav - and who had the better gold teeth.

not only does Lil Jon have gold teeth - he has them w/ diamonds!!!!!

Sure I would. Then I would melt them down and make a nice pendant.

It is a matter of personal taste. Some people find them very attractive as well as a status symbol. I personally find them unattractive.

Who knows?? People are weird. Just like the people who dye their hair blue & purple & wear black lipstick. It just doesn't make any sense (to me at least)

It's funny b/c you know that any non-celebrity that gets them would end up having teeth that cost more than their house! A little backwards?! Or they'd be like 'Check out my gold teeth' to someone they're riding the bus with!
