NWR: Work

Does anyone feel trapped at their job and feel they are stuck till possibly after their wedding?

I soooo feel like this!!

A lot of people say that they feel this way

Yep i feel like im stuck possibly into the new year ..argh

It all depends on the kind of day I'm having. Then I realize that I've been doing the same thing for 20 years......with some of the same people. Where the heck do I think I'm going????

i deffff felt that way, to the point where i had unbelieveable anxiety every day. so i quit. then my boss had a fit, and told me not to come in anymore. so i am working at kohls starting tomorrow. im also applying to jobs like nobodys business. and i keep telling myself everything will be ok. it will.


good luck getting through your job until the wedding, start looking for something else and i hope something MUCH better comes your way.

I've been feeling the same way i guess since i've had lots of wedding stress and work stress so i had a mini anxiety attack today so i definitely know what your talking about. Everything will be okay for you . Thank you i'm going to start looking in September because if i leave now i won't be able to take some days before and after the wedding.

i totally feel trapped!! in both my jobs! ive been working at stop and shop since i was 16!! always did it part time when i was going to school...and even when i started working full time! and 11 years im still there part time!! i feel like i wanna quit after the wedding but i prob wont because the extra money is nice! and now im use to it!

my other job i hate, and dont wanna quit because the economy is so bad and im afraid iwont find anything else...so basically im stuck working two crappy jobs for the rest of my life!!

I have a friend who is a life coach. I can just hear him say think of the solution not the problem!

Im SO sorry you feel this way. I know whats its like to be stuck in a horrible job.

Im sure it will all work out, but just take a deep breath and try to get through it.

haha i'm in the opposite boat...

i'm hoping to get a job come late august/ early sept. so i hope someone will hire me even though i need 2 weeks off in october !

I definitely feel trapped...till at least September 2010 if I ever want to have a real HM. Or till my boss fires me, whichever comes first, given the really weird way he's been acting around me lately, might be the more likely scenario. I don't want to wake up in the morning it's getting so bad.

I feel for everyone who feels trapped at work. I can't even explain the anxiety I was having at my job. I would walk through Penn Station and think that I would love to fall and break my leg and not have to go in for awhile. Thankfully FH realized what a toll it was taking on me and told me to quit if I wanted to. That was almost a year ago, luckily he makes enough that we can still live comfortably on one salary. I have taken on the housewife role and I am sooooo much happier now! Can't wait to have a baby after the wedding and be a mommy too!

Yeah I am def ready to leave my job but probably won't b/c I am not confident that I would find another one. . the actual job itself is not even bad but i have to travel ALL the time. . like three 4-5 day trips a month and I just am so tired of missing home, and eating bad food, not being near my new hubby! and missing out on things. . just makes me EXHAUSTED EXHAUSTED but i'm just happy I have a job right now but need to figure out something for the long run b/c I can't have a and travel all the time!!

HANG IN THERE GIRLS! or make change happen. . I figure if you call can plan the fabulous weddings you're planning, you can get any type of jobs you like!!!

I always say that my firm is a trap! I've been at the same place going on 9 years Although, I guess I shouldn't complain - I make great money and it's def not a bad job - I just don't want to HAVE to work anymore!

Ive been out of work for like 2 weeks now, and im just not looking yet bc how do i tell someone
'oh by the way, i need 3 weeks off in august' lol ... so im waiting till i come back from vacation to really start the search... until then its all last min wedding planning

YES!!!! Only now I feel like I am stuck until after we buy an apartment (if we ever do) because it is hard to get a mortgage if you haven't been working some place for a certain length of time... It totally s ucks so I can def feel your pain!

Its normal to feel as if you want to quit your job.. Specially when you are planning a wedding!!

Honestly for me.. I'm glad I have a job now that I need it.. That doesnt mean I like it!! Plus my DH ( ) has notice that I just dont want to be there and we have a plan for after the summer that will work perfectly...

Just making the $$ now and saving.. In September... Bye Bye Employer!!
