if your FH got a promotion to another state with higher pay would you be upset that you had to move? It would mean you'd have to leave your job, family?
A co-worker was telling me that her husband got a promotion and they'd have to move to California. She is happy here in NY since all her friends and family are here. I wasnt sure what to tell her, I just listened and let her vent. It had me wondering if I would feel the same way if Iwas in the same situation. Having to leave a familiar place that I've known most of my life.

Re: NWR: Would you
I moved with FH to SC really for that reason, more so b/c he wanted to start his own business and its cheaper to live here. I think its a personal preference-all people are different when it comes to this
Sorry that wasnt much help

Re: NWR: Would you
yes, I would. I feel really strongly that it's important to me to be near my parents when we finally have kids, and for the kids to have that feeling of family and connection that comes from having grandparents around. I'd probably be willing to move maybe a few hours a way... Massachussetts, Connecticut, upstate, that kind of distance. We may have to do that anyway if we can't afford a house here. Across the country is too far though.

Funny you ask...FH is constantly asked by his higher up's if he would consider relocating to Columbus, Ohio (of all places!). He works for Limited Brands (Co that owns Victoria Secret, Express, ect) and that is were their world headquarters is located. Every now and then we consider it bc the cost of living here is ridiculous and would be able to live very well there. For now it's up in the air. What is keeping us here now is our friends and family.
