I switched from yasmin to yaz and hated it! i had my period for 10 days and i swear it made me crazy. I stayed on the yaz for 6 months and decided to switch back to yasmin. I have also recently switched Drs and she said low dose can cause breakthrough bleeding thats why i was experiencing long periods and she perfers yasmin over yaz
OMG!!! I was put on YAZ and I never get my period until I start the next pack. And I too am experiencing wicked cramps. When I got back to the dr. I am going to asked to be switched back. Thanks to all who have replied. I thought that it was just me.
I too had a bad experience with Yaz. I was on Ortho Lo with no problems, and switched to Yaz for shorter periods. I didn't get my period at all for two months on it, and had bad side effects. After I went off it, it took 2 more months for my period to come back. They were a very stressful two months! If you aren't having any problems with your current BC, I wouldn't switch. I don't know anyone who has liked YAZ.
I got switched from LoEstrin..and didnt get my period the first month but i was fine after the second pack... no side effects.. no problems... no cramps... i'm pretty hapy with it..
it was annoying the first two months, my cramps were way worse ( and that was the whole reason I switched in the first place) then it wasn't so bad....didn't get my period until after i started a new pack each time though....that was weird.....been off it for a few months now (long story, not pill related) but I am going to start something different this month....not a huge fan of Yaz...
i'm on yasmin and love it.....i've heard good & bad (as with any BC) about yaz, so i figure why change if i'm happy with the one i'm on???? i also dont like the whole 'make ur period shorter' thing...i feel like it's ur messing with ur system... ANYWHOO, i just know i'm happy with what i have...so i dont really have an interest in switching and starting the whole process over.
ive been on it for almost 2 years and love it. Earlier this year it started not to be covered by my insurance but i love it so much, i decided to pay the 50 bucks a month just to have it. i have zero cramps, zero bloating and my period lasts 2 days tops.
