I live w/FH. Everyday we wake up to Howard Stern.(hearing his program on the radio).........FH has been listening to him for years. I think H.S. is the most disgusting gross pig. He makes fun of everything and everyone. I'm all for a joke, but this a.hole goes too far. Just wondering if anyone else hates him....

not me - he's the reason my DH bought Sirius for me for Xmas last year - I've been listening to him since I was a little kid with my dad... granted, there are many times when he gets on my nerves and I change the station (LOVE having sirius) but, generally he makes me laugh, and I like his views sometimes on news and politics....

I think he is really funny and irreverant. I have been listening to him forever. Sometimes he is just annoying and sometimes he is just boring. But he is entertaining for the most part and I enjoy him. My FH is a HUGE fan - I got him Sirius for Christmas last year so he could listen to him!
The thing is... and I think this is with any entertainment personality - you can't take him to seriously.

I think he's a complete a**.
My brother thinks he's hilarious - FH, thankfully, doesn't listen to him (and doesn't care for him either).
Howard Stern thinks he's hilarious and oh-so-intelligent... and quite frankly, I don't see either, and I've got a good sense of humor! (And I'm pretty smart, too)
I'm all anti-censorship and stuff, but he's just an idiot as far as I am concerned. Definitely not my taste, but to each his own... I just choose to turn him off.

I used to listen to him and think he was funny. About 4 years ago, I finally asked myself why am I listening to him? He is degrading to women and just plain gross. Just more scum polluting the airways and contributing to the downfall of society. I guess as I matured I realized he wasn't as funny as I thought he was.

I think he can be a an a$$ about alot of stuff also, but I think deep down he isnt a bad person- He definatly donates a TON of $$$ to good causes and that's respectable. Thats the one thing I can definatly commend HS for!

Well, I sort of have to disagree. I don't think anyone with a daughter who degrades women on national radio and tv - whether he thinks he's joking or not - is really that great of a person deep down.
I'd never campaign to get him off the radio... I just think he's a shock jock and nothing more. I don't think his political commentary is wonderful or even all that intelligent. I think he just wants to get a rise out of people - and he does.

If you don't like it, you can turn it off. And now, if you don't like it, you don't have to subscribe to sirius. Furthermore, the people who are on that show choose to be on it. That's the beauty of free speech and free will.
I don't like every single little thing he does, but I am most definitely a fan.

I can't stand him. Between Howard Stern and Delilah, I want to puke.
He's not my cup of tea, but DH does enjoy listening to him, but we don't have siruius radio - but work does.

HS is a media genius - that can't be disputed
As far as HS as a personality, I think he's funny. I think his cast of characters (ie.Artie, Sal, Rich, the wack pack) are really what make the show and he knows that. Thus making him the genius that he is.

I have been listening to him for a long time and I have a good sense of humor and understand funny jokes. I wake up every morning to him have been doing that for almost 15 years.

I've become a Stern fan just recently. I started listening to him just a few months before he went off the air on regular radio and then started again when I got Sirius this spring. For the most part, I think he and his crew are really funny and do a great show. They have great guests and are able to do a lot of stuff that most people can't get away with. Of course, there are only so many times I can listen to porn stars talk about banging guys and that sort of thing. And then I change the station. But I love being able to listen to Stern on my way to AND from work.

Im not a stern fan at all but not b/c im offended but rather b/c im an opie and anthony addict... i think sterns and old 'washed up ' old man way past his prime.. its not the 80s and 90s anymore when he was the best thing since sliced bread, .... opie and anthony do awsome radio .... and now they are free on 92.3!
