NWR:bad night..just wanted to vent lol

hey guys

Last night was HORRIBLE. I had work at 5am and around 130 am John woke me up because our laundry was done..so I was just supposed to go down stairs help him take it out and go back to bed. So I walk out in my pj pants, flip flops and tank with no bra and a mess of hair...well John shuts the door behind us, realizing after that our house keys are inside :( so at 130 am we were locked out...thank god one of our neighbors was outside and let us use their phone. We called my parents and woke them up thinking they had extra keys...but no luck(John took the extra keys back last month when he lost his set and never made a new copy to give them)..so we called about -10- 24/7 locksmiths....ONE Finally called us back on our neighbors phone 1 hour later...so now it was almost 3 am...we didnt want to keep our neighbors up and the locksmith said he would be there in 15 minutes...so fast foward one hour, John and I are still sitting outside in PJs and freezing..john had no shirt on and I had a tank top on and no bra! how embarrassing. finally the locksmith gets there at 430 after he told us 15 minutes and not only breaks our door instead of opening the lock...but wants to charge us 450!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he told us 200 on the phone...but says now its 450 since he had to break the lock...he didnt even try and pick it first like locksmiths normally do!

he just wanted the extra money and then wanted to charge us for a new lock...we told him forget it and wed take our chances with a busted lock for the night:(

so yeah I didnt go to work...and it was a bad night lol

i'm so sorry that happened to you, what a bad night. you must have been freezing...thank goodness the weather is better than last week, you would have been a popsicle!



and ewww that locksmith was a jerk.

Ooooh Jess that looks alot worse written down then when you told me earlier Laundry at 1:30am wow talk about night owl...you must be so exhausted!!! So did you have to pay him the $450...plus now you still need a new door/lock??? I'd call the company and complain, you would have been better off breaking a window yourself and replacing it!

Yeah john works midnights so hes alwayyyssss up...which means so am I...lucky me lolol


well we only gave him 200 because john was like yelling at him outside and basically said look im a cop, i get bullshitted all day, dont ******** me

I think once john told him he was a suffolk cop though he backed down with with the yelling and finally said fine give me 200!

meanwhile we still had to go buy a new door today :( John said that he wouldnt of called a locksmith if all he was going to do was break our door...john could have done that himself!

Aww Im sorry you had such a bad night. Locksmiths are all ripoffs because they know you need to get inside, especially when it is in the middle of the night! Maybe you can give one of your neighbors your key just in case or hide it somewhere outside?

yeah they really are...

I wish we could give a key to a neighbor but they are all so shady...we dont live in the nicest apartment complex :(

Jess...that stinks...you should give a key to my BF who lives in your apartment complex. They are always up late too. They are the kind of people who would drop everything to help someone out too. She's a bride too...getting married 7/6/08 at Land's End.

sorry jess On the bright side this is definitely one of those stories you'll look back and laugh about in a few years. We did this once too, on new years eve we had a bunch of people coming back here after dinner and we all had to pee and realized we had no keys so we broke into our own house and one of the girls peed in the backyard because she couldn't hold it in. Then she was drunk so when she tried to zip up her pants her glove got stuck in the zipper and I had to free her, and this was the first time I met her! Hope that makes you feel better.

Oh my goodness! Thats soo horrible!! At least you had nice neighbors or you could've been out there longer. I think You have to be in charge of keys for now on. John seems to not do so well with them. Thats an awful lot of money. Seriously, anyone could've broke down the door, aren't you glad you called a professional. Good thing John told him he was a cop, because that would've been ridiculous paying that kind of money. Get some rest today, well after you get a new door

Oh jessie I am sooo sorry this happened to you guys!!! I can always keep a spare key for you if you need it...I know I dont live in your complex haha but if you ever need me to ride over there in the middle of the night- dont mind it at all..lol

oh i'm going to call you later today, i got work and then a doctors appt so after 7pm i gotta call and talk to you about the GTG....
