Have any of you had your hair turn green after swimming in the pool? This happen to me on Friday night. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I used a home remedy that got the majority of it out, but there is still a very slight green tint. Any suggestions?

I used to get that when I was younger, its the chlorine that used to turn my hair green! I guess blondes are more lucky!

Yep when I was younger but I havent been in a pool long enough for it to happen lately.
They sell special shampoo to use to get it out.

Although its too late now, my hair dresser told me to wet my hair with regular water before going in the pool. This way your hair is saturated with non chemicaled water so it wont absorb the chlorine.
There are special shampoos and conditioners sold, but I would just wash it a couple times and it will come out.

Last time I went to my hairdresser I saw that they did a treatment for that same problem on a little girl. I always rinse my hair Immediately after getting out of the pool.

That happened to me the summer i lived in the Hamptons b/c i worked at a camp so i was in the pool and/or in the Ocean everyday. my hair turned GREEEEN
Get Sheer Blonde shampoo & conditioner by John Frieda- it has the ingredient in it that neutralizes the chemicals that make it green, and i think it worked in like 1-2 washes!

No, that never happened to me but you should ask your hairdresser, I'm sure they have a treatment for that.

This happened to me in MS when my hair was lighter, I just left it until it went away bc I couldn't get it out but people thought it was kool-aid and that I did it on purpose (when it was cool back then). Sorry that this happened!!

I forget what I used to use. Vinegar? My hair usually turns green when they use chlorine in the pill form. When they use liquid I dont have a problem. I also get special shampoo from the store. Theres usually a few types.
